Johnny Fryer drafted in for Russle Winter coaching weekend.

This weekend we were blessed with pumping surf and the presence of British Champion Johnny Fryer for the final Russle Winter coaching weekend.
Solid southeast winds groomed corduroy groundswell lines providing perfect conditions. Saturday morning saw everyone score peeling 3ft lefthanders at Towan in Newquay Bay, but despite the fast sucky conditions, the best was yet to come in the afternoon. As the tide pushed in at Fistral, it delivered as good as it gets 4ft, perfectly clean, offshore and barrelling.
The team was coached by Russell Winter – Europes most successful surfer and Johnny Fryer, reigning British Champion.
James Curry, 27, a lawyer from Cardiff, said: It was a great weekend, and I have lots of great tips to take away and work on. The video analysis is such a big help to emphasise the things that Im doing wrong.
Russ said: It was a great weekend to finish off a really successful year of coaching. We had a great bunch of people, superb conditions and it was great to have Johnny Fryer along to help out as well.’
